Cusco, Valley & Machu Picchu

The Sacred Valley of the Incas, in the Peruvian Andes, is composed of different rivers that descend from streams and small valleys, it has many archaeological monuments and indigenous peoples. There are the villages of Chinchero and its weavers, Pisac and its craftsmanship, Urubamba and its cosmopolitanism, Ollantaytambo, with its fortress, Maras and Moray with salt flats.

Following the course of the Valley you will reach a magnificent 2,430-meter high place in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, the Machu Picchu shrine, the most incredible architectural achievement of the Inca Empire.

Its walls, terraces and giant ramps give the impression that they have been carved into rock cliffs, as if they were part of it. The natural setting, located on the eastern side of the Andes, is part of the upper basin of the Amazon, characterized by a very varied flora and fauna.
